This event was a great success, with the number of passionate industry leaders in attendance serving as a positive reminder of how viable South Africa’s target of reaching approximately 1.3 GW of installed solar PV capacity by the end of the year could be.
And it is not just South Africa that benefits from Solis’ influence; in July, the manufacturer held a seminar for customers in Gujarat, India. Here, the state aims to significantly cut power costs for industrial units and remove limitations on the capacity of solar projects as part of the Gujarat Solar Power Policy 2021.

The world-renowned inverter company also demonstrated its commitment to the advancement of solar in Mexico at the Solar Power Mexico exhibition, held in the Guanajuato region known as the Bajío. At the event, Solis announced that it would bring the country the next generation of six-series hybrid inverters, hoping to help strengthen Mexico’s smart energy storage systems.

Acknowledging Solis’ global achievements
Solis’ global impact has been recognised by several awards, certifications and accolades from respected authorities and third parties since it was first established in 2005.
Earlier this year, Solis was declared a winner of the prestigious 2022 Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) in the ‘Green Leadership’ category. It received the award thanks to its championing of sustainable and responsible business practices, including making large monetary and supply donations during the COVID-19 pandemic, supporting scholarships to universities and colleges and providing inverters for several PV poverty alleviation projects.
Additionally, Jackie Tu, Solis’ Vietnam business development manager, was recently interviewed by HO Chi Minh TV at the Future Energy Show Vietnam. The interview was simultaneously broadcast on national TV stations across the country, where the government has announced plans to move towards a bidding system for PV projects to help alleviate existing energy issues.
