Need mounting for metal roofs?
Different roof types require different mounting equipment to ensure the solar panels are installed securely and at the optimum angle. As one of the world’s most trusted PV mounting manufacturers, Renusol offers a selection of outstanding solutions for various roofs.
The MetaSole+ (MS+) system has been designed for pitched corrugated or trapezoidal metal (Kliplock) roofs — the most commonly found roof type in Sub-Saharan Africa. What’s more, Renusol has developed a handful of variants of the MS+ system to suit alternative roofs and environments.
For Kliplok/trapezoidal sheet metal roofs requiring a landscape installation, we recommend the standard MS+ system. This solution comes with short, non-continuous rails to provide the most flexibility over the system’s configuration, all while allowing you to save material along the way. Featuring a mounting bracket, fastening elements and module clamps, this system has everything you need for a secure and reliable metal-roof solar installation. PV modules with a frame height between 30mm to 50mm are ideal for the MS+ system.
This system comes with self-cutting/self-drilling bi-metal screws that fasten the components into the roof directly. The compact design of the MS+ also reduces transport costs, saves storage space and facilitates construction site management. Additionally, the simplicity of the system means the mounting process on-site is fast and smooth.
The MS+P is an identical solution but has been designed to suit portrait installations, while the MS+H is suitable for hotter environments by providing 70mm more distance between the panel and the roof.
In fact, SegenSolar collaborated with Renusol to design the MS+H to allow more airflow around the panels, keeping the modules cooler and contributing to higher efficiencies.
Time-saving tools for cost-efficient systems
Renusol’s PV-Configurator 3.0 is a unique design tool that lets installers create a full mounting system with their chosen solar modules, setting parameters and providing structural calculations to ensure the mounting system purchased is perfect for the site down to the millimetre.
This free tool is available in 11 languages and offers a comprehensive project report with accurate documentation and parts list to reduce costs, minimise planning time and boost safety. If you require any assistance using the PV-Configurator 3.0, Renusol’s YouTube channel features several guidance videos in many different languages so that you can learn how to use the tool with confidence.
SegenSolar is proud to stock Renusol mounting products on our portal, and our solar technicians have no hesitation in recommending Renusol’s systems for all kinds of solar installations. Renusol is one of our default manufacturers when you design a system using Kit Builder: our free, easy-to-use tool that allows you to create a complete PV quote with all required components in just a few clicks. Kit Builder ensures the products in every order are compatible and provides an additional 3% net discount across the order on top of the low prices we already offer on the portal.
While Renusol’s mounting equipment comes with a standard 10-year warranty, the company is offering an extended 20-year warranty on all products designed using the PV-Configurator 3.0 — which we have integrated into our portal seamlessly.
